ABOUT FALLSTON REC SOFTBALL

Fallston is proud to provide recreational and developmental softball programs that support hundreds of girls in our area. Our purpose is to provide a quality learning and development experience for girls ages pre-k through 8th grade, made possible because of the efforts of volunteers.

Our mission is to provide a safe, competitive, and fun environment for Fallston-area girls to learn the game of softball. We are committed to providing all girls with an experience that fosters positive individual growth, development of softball fundamentals, and sportsmanship & teamwork through both practice and game-based play.

WINTER SKILLS & DRILLS

Winter Skills & Drills is offered for girls in grades K-8. All sessions will be held indoors at CR Sports Zone, located at 1204 Paul's Ln. in Joppa.

Sessions will consist of stations focused on hitting, throwing, fielding, catching, and baserunning. No prior experience is required to participate. All athletes simply need a softball glove. Other equipment will be provided.

Session dates, times, and investment details are as follows:

Dates:

5 consecutive Sundays: January 5, 12, 19, 26 and February 2

Times:

K-3 Grade: 2:00 - 3:00PM

4-8 Grade: 3:15 - 4:30PM

Investment:

K-3 Grade: $100

4-8 Grade: $130

Note: All winter skills & drills participants will receive $15 off of spring softball registration!

SPRING SOFTBALL

Spring softball registration is now open! We welcome all girls grades pre-k through 8th grade to come join us for a season of development, community, and fun! Additional information about spring softball and a link to register can be found below:

Softball age groups are based on GRADE, not in-season age or birth year. Age group details are as follows:

Clinic age group is for pre-k through first grade and consists of tee ball play with an introduction to coach pitch.
7/8 age group is for 2nd and 3rd graders and primarily coach pitch with an introduction to fast pitch
9/10 age group is for 4th and 5th graders and will be fast pitch softball with kids pitching and umpires
11-13 age group is for middle schoolers and will be fast pitch softball with kids pitching and umpires

Season Overview:

Player evaluations will take place the first Sunday in March for all age groups EXCEPT clinic. Evaluations will be used to form fair and even teams.
Practices will begin in late March
Games will begin in mid-April and the season will conclude in mid-June.
All teams will practice once per week. Clinic and 7/8 will play a game on Saturday.
9/10 and 11-13 game schedules will be determined AFTER registration closes and will include at least one game per week.
